Our new project VE has recently conducted its first ever Summer Camp in SMK Changlun. The aim of this summer camp was to provide a rigorous academic tuition program through which our volunteers teach to help students focus on what they are expected to learn, and understand how they will be assessed in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). Through this project, our team aimed to establish a monitoring plan for volunteering teaching class programs and progress, class growth, and student development. Our teaching volunteers are enthusiastic and active university students who stand as friends and mentors, providing guidance and support to students through their journey of learning.
Apart from academic sessions, our volunteers and VE project members engaged with school students to have different kind of activities such as sandwich competition, maze runner and fashion show during 3 days camp. Indeed, by having various activities students can learn other necessary skills such as team work and leadership which academic sessions do not provide .
We believe VE will continue on their successful run on teaching students who face difficulties in their academics.
